Protein values of everyday foods


We have drawn up a list of everyday foods with their protein value in certain amounts. This can help you to monitor the amount of protein you take in when designing your eating regime or when taking on a new training plan.

The recommended daily allowance of protein for adults is 0.8 gram/ kg of body weight/ day in men and women over 19 years of age.

However, athletes need a higher intake of protein a day to build and repair muscle. Depending on the sport and training, athletes need 1.0 to 1.7 grams/kg body weight/day.
